How to Find (and Fix) Broken Automations Killing Your Profit Margins

A couple months ago, I took over a new account.

I found two abandoned checkout flows running at the same time.

Both firing within an hour of abandonment. Both offering different discounts.

One was a 2-year-old automation that nobody touched.

The other was brand new. Some agency had set it up and turned it on.

I asked the email marketing manager why they had both automations running.

They had no clue.

Here's a problem I see even with 7 and 8 figure DTC brands:

The founder sets up automations and forget about them.

Agencies add more. New team members build their own.

Nobody maps what's already running.

Now you've got duplicate flows competing with each other, conflicting discounts, and customers getting hammered with emails.

And nobody knows because it's all running silently in the background.

The fix:

Audit your automations. Right now.

Screenshot every flow structure.

Screenshot every email. Map out what triggers what and when.

If you don't have time to do it yourself, get someone on your team to sit down for an entire day and knock it out.

Pay them extra. Find someone on Fiverr. Whatever you need to do.

You have to do this.

Here's the truth: most brands haven't looked at their automation setup in over a year.

They're running on infrastructure built by people who don't even work there anymore.

And it’s costing you thousands of dollars.

P.S. If you're not sure your automations are clean or you haven't audited them in a while, let's chat.
